The square hole drill bit we present is specifically crafted for use with square hole drills and mortise tenon machines, not for hand drills or bench drills. It is suitable for a variety of wood products, such as MDF, particle board, compressed versions, plastic, and various types of wood, but not for metal, glass, concrete, or gypsum board materials.
The tenon machine cannot be used for milling grooves; it is intended for manual grooving only. If a tenon machine is unavailable, you can first use the drill core of a bench drill or electric drill to create additional holes, and then employ the square chisel of the square hole drill to strike the surface, taking care to proceed slowly.
The force point of the drill bit sleeve is designed to be on a plane, effectively protecting against dangerous situations like bursting. Crafted from high-carbon steel and heat-processed, our durable drill bit boasts high hardness and a long service life.
The U-shaped groove is purposefully designed to facilitate the discharge of wood chips, enhancing drilling efficiency. The round shank, a universal shank type, features a circular design at the drill tail, ensuring stable clamping and suitability for drilling square holes in wood with a mortising machine or mortising attachment.
Measuring 1/2" (12.7mm) in square chisel width, with a 75mm cutting depth and a 205mm total length, the drill bit has a 9.7mm shank diameter. The meticulously designed drilling point tip and four cutting corners enable fast drilling with minimal opening resistance, allowing for precise and smooth penetration into the working pieces of wood.
Crafted from high-carbon steel and undergoing heat processing, our drill bit boasts high hardness (48-50 HRC) and sharp-edged square chisel, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance. The long drill core and square chisel make it easy to lock the hole on the wood, reducing the labor intensity of construction workers, accelerating construction speed, and ultimately lowering construction costs.
To utilize this drill bit, it is necessary to have a mortise and tenon machine with a double effect, as well as an electric drill, hammer, and other tools for punching square holes in wood. It cannot be used with a hand drill. If you wish to use the drill bit with a drill press, you will need to acquire the appropriate accessories to attach it to the drill press.
